Medication Features Included in this Release:
- Control who can administer medication at a staff level (i.e. administrator, teacher)
- Further control who can administer medication at an individual medication level (name who can administer a medication).
- Add a school based medication for general use. This can be administered to staff, students or a visitor to the school.
- Add a student based medication from the Administration menu and link it to an existing medical condition.
- Add a student based medication directly from a medical condition.
- Manage medication stock using precise measures, batches, expiry dates and quantities.
- Track discontinued stock for full accountability.
- Create and maintain medication schedules for the regular administration of student medications.
- Administer medications to staff, students or visitors as a one-off or via a regular schedule.
- Monitor stock levels and expiry dates with overnight email alerts.
- Allow caregivers to view medications distributed to their children, across all Hero schools.
- Locate medications quickly in the event of an emergency, by knowing exactly where they are located.

Locations Register:
To accompany medications, Hero has introduced a Locations register.
Record the important rooms in your school (including their size and capacity), e.g. Hall, Office, Gymnasium, ensuring that any room that will hold medications is in the register.
Select the location when adding a medication.
