We are kicking off the year with the release of the Attendance Management Plan (AMP) feature.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the AMP/STAR feature has been designed to help schools monitor attendance patterns, identify students who meet thresholds, and record steps taken to support improved engagement.

This feature replaces the previous years’ Attendance Intervention feature.

AMP has 4 fundamental functions:

  • IDENTIFY - Clearly identify students with diminishing attendance rates, either individually or via any Hero group.

  • ACT & RECORD - Take action to set the student on the path to success. Keep a comprehensive record of actions taken.

  • COMMUNICATE - Engage with caregivers on a new Attendance page via Hero's caregiver app.

  • REPORTING - Keep the MoE informed with an automatic daily upload of AMP data.
Note:
  • A designated Attendance Letter page has been added to all schools.  You may wish to take the time to add a tick icon to the page and move it to your desired spot using the page sort function.

  • A threshold will not exist until the day following the first attendance mark being entered on a student in the current term.

  • A response activity or letter cannot be created without a threshold existing.
