1. Review your professional learning cycle and create pages on Hero
• Ask the staff to log on to Hero and locate their pages (right-hand menu). Use the Manage Access feature to decide which colleagues can access their content. More...
• Your professional learning plan should provide clear guidance to teachers and leaders as to the expectations for sharing professional learning journeys and with whom they should be shared.
• Create or edit pages on Hero to reflect expectations. Add templates to help guide thinking.

Build understanding!

Build buy-in to your plan so that staff can engage in quality conversations about their practice and student progress.

1. Run regular meetings to discuss and share quality examples.
• Engage with best practice documentation and suggestions on Teaching as inquiry.
• Gather feedback from staff on your planned professional learning plan.

Implement your plan

Establish expectations and structures to encourage learning conversations between staff within different teams.

1. Understand your students.
• Implementing observations, share new learning/celebrate through staff pages.
• Engage with your student data through team-based data meetings.
• Record observations and next steps for students in staff pages.
• Utilise Hero digital data board, working collaboratively with teachers on teaching as inquiry.

Review, rework and inspire!

Build in regular review opportunities to ensure that your processes are sustainable, manageable and that they are making a positive difference.
