To answer a request from our users and the DoE, the formal caution, suspension and expulsion letters produced are now editable at the time of creation. This enables a school to better meet their specific needs.
Points of Note:
- Letters are only editable via these processes at the time of creation. Any edits made to details after creation will not be reflected in the letters. This is to protect the integrity of the letter sent to the caregiver.
- Letters already created as draft or published are now maintainable by the Principal or Principal’s Delegate via the existing post on the Suspension Letter Page. Information changed via the post will not update the information in the initial process.
- Existing Formal Cautions can now be shortened if a student is suspended. Edit the Formal Caution to reduce the duration.
- Caregiver selection has been reduced to a single caregiver.
- Expulsions are seldom used by Year 1-6 schools, therefore a new switch has been added to disable expulsions. Expulsions can be enabled by the Hero Customer Support team if required.
These changes address some of your feedback but our team will continue to make further enhancements to streamline this feature.
